The Colorado Springs Airport started 2018 the same way it finished 2017 — with passenger numbers increasing at double-digit levels. The number of people leaving on outbound flights in January rose 16.8 percent from January 2017 to 64,500 with all of the gains coming from Frontier and American airlines.
Passenger totals for Allegiant Air, Delta and United airlines declined. The load factor, or percentage of seats sold, fell slightly to 78.3 percent in January from 81 percent in January 2017.
